The app and its license
Between Days is a private space for personal moments and answers to questions you can return to over time. It supports text, photos, voice recordings, tags, local reminders, optional PDF memory books and ways to revisit your records. No Between Days account is required.
For an App Store download, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs your app license unless another license is expressly supplied for that distribution. These terms explain the app's services and options. They supplement, rather than replace, Apple's standard license and mandatory consumer rights.
Use the app lawfully and record or share only content you have the right to use. You are responsible for your choices about content and sharing. The app is a personal journal; its prompts and statistics are not medical, mental-health or other professional advice.
Your content remains yours
You retain ownership of your writing, photos, recordings and other records. Using Between Days does not transfer that ownership to me. The app processes content to provide the functions you choose, including local storage, optional iCloud sync and export.
I do not operate a journal server or account-recovery service. I cannot recover your local encryption keys, retrieve your journal or access your private iCloud database on your behalf. Keep a readable copy somewhere you trust if you need a separate copy. Do not uninstall the app to troubleshoot content you have not safely copied elsewhere.
Questions and deletion
An answer saved in Questions is also a Moment. Removing a question does not delete its saved answers; delete the corresponding moments to remove them. Settings → Data & storage → Delete all moments clears the Moments and local question definitions described in its confirmation, together with related attachments, tags, drafts and reminders. Preferences and purchase status remain.
Stories is retired. Data retained from earlier test versions is preserved for export and sync compatibility, not converted into answers. This release has no Stories browsing or deletion screen, and Delete all moments does not remove those legacy records. See Support for the current controls and limitations.
Optional sync and readable exports
iCloud sync is off by default. Once enabled and authorized, it synchronizes saved content, including Questions and retained legacy records, through your Apple Account's private iCloud database. It requires eligible Apple services, connectivity and available storage. Keep the app open and unlocked to sync.
Sync is not a separate backup. Changes and deletions propagate; turning sync off keeps existing copies and turning it back on may apply changes made while it was off. Local reminders, drafts, API keys and device preferences do not sync through this feature.
Export moments creates an unencrypted ZIP for reading outside the app, including original media. Memory books creates a separate PDF from the records you select; it includes recording details and existing transcripts, not playable audio. PDF exports are not password protected. You select its destination through the iOS share sheet. The current app has no public workflow to import this ZIP back into the journal. Copies shared elsewhere are controlled by you and the destination you choose.
Between Days Plus
The All photos overview lets you browse your latest 20 saved photos for free. Plus unlocks the full overview. Viewing photos in their original moments and exporting them in a readable ZIP remain free.
Plus includes the full photo library, PDF memory-book export, the Evolta Blue and Apricot Paper themes, six exclusive room items and a display limit of five items. Greenado Field and Midnight Signal are free. Core recording, Questions, search, tags, statistics, readable ZIP export, optional iCloud sync, App Lock and the free room items do not require Plus. Selecting content and previewing a memory book are also free.
Lifetime access is a one-time, non-consumable purchase for the specified Plus features in Between Days, with no scheduled expiry or recurring payment. It does not promise that unrelated future products or services will be included. The localized price comes from the App Store and is shown before purchase; Apple presents the final payment confirmation. This website does not take payments.
Where available, the separate trial is available once per Apple Account used for App Store purchases. It starts only after you choose it, read the explanation and complete Apple's confirmation. The seven consecutive days are measured from the earliest verified original trial transaction. Restoring purchases, reinstalling the app or obtaining the trial product again after revocation does not start a new period. It does not automatically charge you or renew into a subscription.
Purchases, restoration and transaction updates use Apple’s services and may require an internet connection. The app verifies available StoreKit transactions and checks the trial period on your device; it does not require a developer-operated time service at each launch. Keep your device date and time correct. If purchase verification is unavailable, use Try again or Restore purchases; free features and saved records remain available.
When the trial ends, viewing the full photo library, new PDF exports and paid theme, room-item and display-capacity features require a separate lifetime purchase. Free functions, your records and PDF copies already exported are not removed. In particular, your photos remain available in their moments and through free ZIP exports; the All photos overview returns to the latest 20 photos.
This release does not offer new monthly subscriptions. Any existing subscription from an earlier version remains subject to its original billing terms and renews unless cancelled through your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app or its content, or buying lifetime access, does not cancel that subscription.
Apple processes payments. Use Restore on the Plus page with the Apple Account used to buy the product. If a transaction is pending, access is granted after Apple approves and the app verifies it. A refunded or revoked purchase may no longer provide Plus access. See Apple's cancellation instructions and refund process.
Consumer rights and purchase problems
You keep the mandatory rights available under the law that applies to your purchase, including rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content and any applicable cancellation rights. Depending on that law and the problem, remedies may include correction, a price reduction or a refund. For Australian consumers, nothing here excludes rights and remedies under the Australian Consumer Law.
Contact support@betweendays.net if the app or a purchased feature does not work as described. You can also request a refund through Apple. These instructions do not make Apple's discretionary refund policy your only remedy, or require you to give up a statutory right. Starting a free trial does not waive your rights for a later purchase. Where digital-content cancellation rules apply, any required consent to immediate supply and acknowledgement about cancellation must be handled in the applicable purchase process, not assumed from reading this page.
Features and availability
AI chat, AI setup and action-item extraction are unavailable in this release, including for Plus users. Earlier experiments and design previews do not promise future features, release dates or purchased benefits.
Features depend on your device, operating system, permissions and third-party services. On-device transcription requires a supported device and language. Reminders depend on iOS notification delivery and can show record previews according to your notification settings. They are not intended for emergencies or critical alerts.
I may update the app and these terms as features change. Material changes will be communicated as required by law, and the effective date identifies the published version. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, or makes a website update retroactively change a completed purchase.
